Your Role
As Media Database Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, CANTO. You will ensure high-quality, well-organized content is available to internal stakeholders across the organization. This role combines technical system management, content curation, and user support.

Tasks

1. CANTO System Administration (40%)

  • Oversee the database structure of the DAM system (CANTO)
  • Propose and implement system improvements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for DAM-related queries
  • Coordinate and lead the CANTO admin group

2. Content Curation & Maintenance (40%)

  • Process and manage audiovisual material from internal and external creators
  • Approve, organize, rename, tag, and upload assets to ensure accurate and timely availability
  • Develop and refine file naming conventions, metadata, taxonomy, and keywording standards
  • Enhance usability of the DAM system
  • Create tools to distribute and facilitate content usage
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless digital asset integration

3. Training, Capacity-Building & Technical Support (20%)

  • Maintain and update internal training resources on using the DAM system
  • Provide technical support to internal users
  • Stay informed about updates and new features in CANTO

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years working with a DAM system (e.g., CANTO)

Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Technical: Knowledge of visual communication and digital content management. Familiarity with audiovisual content production is a plus

Languages: Fluent in English and German; additional languages like Amharic, French, or Portuguese are a bonus

Other: Project management skills and a proven ability to work independently
