Tasks
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to address specific needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care and ensure continuity of therapeutic interventions.
- Provide guidance and support to families, caregivers, and educators to facilitate the development and implementation of effective strategies for enhancing children's occupational performance.
- Supervise and mentor junior therapists and students, fostering professional growth and adherence to best practices within the field.
- Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy services within the community.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of developmental disorders and therapeutic interventions for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
