We are looking for an experienced leader to take on a strategic and collaborative role at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product. As our Director Commercial, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies focused on pricing, merchandising, and cross-channel performance. Using data-driven insights, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize revenue, profitability, and customer experience.
Your tasks:
- Development and Execution of Commercial Strategies
- Develop a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with long-term growth objectives.
- Ensure seamless coordination between Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support product launches and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Pricing Strategy and Execution
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies in collaboration with Finance and Product teams.
- Dynamically adjust pricing based on market trends, competitor analysis, and customer data.
- Merchandising and Product Strategy
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to optimize product assortments, promotions, and bundling strategies.
- Analyze sales data to refine merchandising decisions and enhance channel effectiveness.
- Cross-Channel Strategy
- Align Sales and Marketing efforts across all channels (online, offline, marketplaces).
- Evaluate and optimize cross-channel strategies to maximize ROI.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making
- Analyze performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with Finance to evaluate the financial impact of strategies and recommend enhancements.
- Market Research and Customer Insights
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Implement feedback loops to continuously refine strategies and ensure alignment with customer needs.
Your profile
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within the e-commerce or retail sector.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in pricing, merchandising, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience leading and motivating small teams (1-5 members).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Tableau) and project management.
- Fluent in English.
- Living in Berlin or willing to relocate.
