Our client is an emerging leading boutique tech PR startup based in Berlin. Despite being a relatively small team at present, dynamic growth characterizes the company. To support our client's growth and ensure the best possible care for its employees, we are seeking an experienced Public Relations Account Manager (m/f/d) to join their team. Permanent employment contract in Germany or Switzerland — a freelance contract is possible outside Germany and Switzerland (EU, USA).

Tasks

  • Develop comprehensive strategies to enhance client visibility in the public sphere.
  • Create engaging and impactful releases to capture audience attention.
  • Innovate and devise unique narratives for client stories.
  • Stay abreast of current events to leverage news cycles effectively.
  • Craft compelling pitches for outreach to media outlets.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication channels with clients.
  • Foster and expand networks within the media industry.
  • Identify appropriate media channels and journalists for client stories.
  • Secure media coverage across various platforms.
  • Coordinate and prepare clients for media engagements.
  • Produce thought-provoking content showcasing industry leadership.
  • Monitor media presence and deliver thorough analytical reports.
  • Pursue opportunities for client speaking engagements at events.
  • Advocate for brands through well-crafted written communications.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in public relations.

  • Demonstrated success in global media pitching.
  • Preference for prior experience in agency settings.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding and passion for the technology sector.
  • Ability to simplify intricate technological concepts.
  • Skilled in editing and targeting media channels effectively.
  • Strategic storyteller with a flair for creativity.
  • Quick to learn and thrive in collaborative environments.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed.
  • Self-driven and capable of managing multiple accounts concurrently.
  • Flexible availability for remote and after-hours work.
  • Proficient in English language skills.
