We are looking for a Junior Associate EU Affairs (Paid Traineeship) to join us full-time in Brussels for 6 - 12 months (flexible).
Tasks
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
As a Junior Associate EU Affairs, you will be part of our Public Affairs team, reporting to our Managing Director and Head of Public Affairs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Public Affairs team with day-to-day tasks
- Drafting statements, reports, briefings and contributing to policy papers
- Conducting desk research on various EU-related digital policy issues
- Attending internal and external meetings, including taking minutes
- Monitoring EU policy developments
- Communicating with members and external stakeholders
- Supporting the work of the European AI Forum
Requirements
Your Profile:
- You are a recent graduate with at least a Bachelor's degree or are currently studying politics, law, international relations, EU affairs or a related field.
- You have gained initial experience through internships or work in the field of (EU) policy and communication.
- You have a solid understanding of EU institutions, legislative processes and key policy actors, complemented by a keen interest in AI and digital policy.
- Your excellent organisational and communication skills enable you to work effectively in a dynamic environment. You have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
- You are fluent in both German and English and have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive, hands-on and reliable, you thrive in a team environment and are eager to take on responsibility.

- The paid traineeship is limited to a period of 6-12 months (flexible).
- Only EU nationals or students who have the necessary paperwork in place to legally take a placement in Belgium will be considered.
