Overview: We are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Analytics to lead the Group’s Analytics function during a period of transition. The role combines strategic leadership, people management, data and analytics architecture, governance and delivery, with a focus on ensuring reliable Analytics services and enabling fact-based decision-making across the Group.
The role can be based in Baar, Milan, or Budapest.
Tasks
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Group’s Analytics function, including governance, processes, architecture principles and strategic priorities.
- Manage a distributed team of internal and external Data Engineers, BI Managers and IT Application Leads.
- Oversee the Analytics technology landscape, including Azure Databricks, Microsoft Power BI and Confluent, as well as internally developed applications.
- Maintain and develop the data and analytics architecture, integrations and Group-wide “single source of truth”.
- Ensure reliable delivery of BI, reporting, dashboards, data discovery and analytics products.
- Establish and promote data, reporting and visualization standards and governance.
- Manage Analytics demand, stakeholder relationships, user support and training.
- Assess the current Analytics landscape, identify gaps and drive pragmatic improvements and transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to the Group’s AI strategy together with the Chief Digitalization Transformation Officer.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head of Analytics, Head of Data, Analytics Director or similar senior leadership role.
- Strong expertise in data architecture, data engineering, BI and enterprise analytics.
- Excellent knowledge of Azure Databricks, Microsoft Power BI and modern data integration technologies.
- Experience leading distributed teams and managing internal and external technology partners.
- Strong understanding of data governance, analytics operating models and reporting governance.
- Experience working with senior business and IT stakeholders, ideally across complex international organizations.
- Previous experience in interim, transformation or change environments is highly desirable.
- Strategic and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to quickly assess a complex environment and drive results.
