Software Development Intern (m/f/d)

We're looking for an intern / junior developer to join and work closely with our Product and Engineering team to support the creation and maintenance of our web application. You’ll gain valuable experience in frontend and backend technologies, as well as low-code tools, and contribute to a real-world project.

At Jobkey, you will take full responsibility for the product from day one, managing the development of features and modules. You will engage closely with our Product and Tech team, and independently develop initial prototypes using low-code tools.

• 🧩 Own a workstream in the product development: Take charge of designing, building, and refining features and modules of our web application using JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React
• 🦾 Backend Contributions: Contribute to backend development by creating RESTful APIs with Express, ensuring robust server-side functionality
• 🗄️ Database Management: Support database management using PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks such as Sequelize or TypeORM, ensuring efficient data handling
• 🔍 Testing & Debugging: Participate in code testing and debugging, including unit and end-to-end testing, while writing automated test cases to enhance software reliability
• 👤 Collaborate closely with the founding team: Be a sparring partner to our team by creating prototypes to our customers, using low-code tools like Glide and Airtable

• Currently pursuing (final year) or recently completed a degree in Compupter Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Standing out by exceptional achievements in extracurricular activities, work experience, or your academic career
• Some knowledge of and experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with frontend frameworks, such as React, and backend development using Node.js, particularly building RESTful APIs with Express is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies, as well as a hard-working and entrepreneurially driven mind-set, and fluency in English
