itemdrop is the operating system for European event operations. We build highly available systems that trade fairs, arenas, and clubs use to run their operations cashless and digitally – in real time and fail-safe, even under heavy load with tens of thousands of concurrent guests.

The entry point is the cloakroom. Paper tokens get lost, cash slows down throughput, and settlements are error-prone. With itemdrop, the cloakroom becomes digital live infrastructure: digital slot assignment, real-time card payments, automated settlement, and complete traceability from check-in to check-out. This reduces waiting times, increases hourly throughput, and makes finance processes clean and auditable.

Our systems are in use at some of the largest event organizers in the DACH region and are used by millions of guests. Since our founding in 2024, we have processed over one million transactions – 500,000 of them in the last few months alone – and work with more than 50 customers. The bar for our systems is correspondingly high: they must run reliably in live operations, with no downtime and no second attempt.

The cloakroom is the first building block. Building on it, we are developing the first end-to-end OS for venue ops in Europe – an operating system on which events across Europe run cashless and digitally.

We are digitizing European event operations and making them cashless. Live events are among the last major domains where cash, paper tokens, and manual settlement still define operations – while contactless payment has long been the standard everywhere else.

itemdrop builds the operating system that trade fairs, arenas, and clubs across Europe run on: highly available infrastructure for millions of guests, where every transaction must be processed reliably. We start with the digital cloakroom and gradually expand the system into the complete infrastructure for live operations.
