Senior Data Scientist

We're looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our team and help drive our product development and consulting initiatives.

As a Data Scientist at our startup, you will play a crucial role in developing AI-powered solutions for our SaaS platform and providing expert guidance to our consulting clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize machine learning models that solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Data Factory, and other Azure services.
• Strong understanding of programming languages like Python, R, SQL, and/or Spark for data manipulation and analysis to fellow teammates
• Define and manage analytics, data science, and AI strategy across multiple business verticals.
• Provide expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, contributing to model development, refinement, and implementation.
• Oversee teams of data scientists, resolving bottlenecks in project execution across manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, R&D, commercial, sales, and legal.
• Collaborate with business teams to develop and implement analytics solutions.
• Work closely with data engineering, application engineering, and enterprise architecture teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, MLOps, and Generative AI.
• Drive a culture of knowledge-sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

• 4-year Engineering degree. An MBA or any specialized course work in Data Science is a plus. Work experience in Pharma/Healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field is a Plus
• 8+ years of professional experience in data science or machine learning is preferred
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and deep learning techniques
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and SQL databases
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex problems into actionable insights
• Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably orthogonal tech-stacks AWS
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience in natural language processing (NLP), Gen AI or computer vision
• Background in a relevant industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) for domain expertise
• Contributions to open-source projects or published research papers
• Experience in consulting role or working directly with clients
• Understanding of data governance and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
