Your Role
As a FEM Simulation Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for project-related FEM analyses, making a key contribution to the development of efficient and reliable solar tracking systems. In this role, you will work on international utility-scale projects, actively contribute to the advancement of our solutions in the field of Agri-Photovoltaics, and play a central role in the continuous optimization of our tracker systems.
Tasks
- Performing project-related linear and nonlinear FEM analyses for solar tracking systems
- Developing and validating simulation models for the sizing of components and the entire system
- Planning, overseeing, and evaluating mechanical tests on components and connections
- Assessing wind, snow, and earthquake loads based on international standards and specific customer requirements
- Close collaboration with teams from design, product management, and sales
Requirements
- A completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a comparable field
- Strong knowledge in structural mechanics and structural dynamics
- Several years of experience in the use of FEM software, such as Hyperworks, ANSYS, Abaqus, SCIA, or SAP 2000
- Strong analytical thinking and solid mathematical understanding
- Knowledge of international standards and regulations, such as ASCE or Eurocode, is a plus
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Team player, with a sense of responsibility and a passion for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration
