Tasks
1. Strategic HR Planning & Culture Development
- Develop and implement initiatives to build a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.
- Advise on strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and team cohesion.
- Facilitate the integration of the company’s values and mission into daily operations and employee practices.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Collaborate on recruitment strategies and support hiring managers with candidate selection processes.
- Design and enhance onboarding processes to ensure new employees integrate smoothly into the team.
- Develop onboarding materials that communicate the company’s mission, culture, and values.
3. HR Policy Development & Compliance
- Establish and update HR policies that reflect best practices and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Provide guidance to leadership on employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update employee contracts, job descriptions, and HR compliance documentation.
4. Employee Development & Performance Management
- Design and implement performance management frameworks, including feedback, appraisal, and promotion processes.
- Support managers in setting and reviewing performance goals aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Identify and coordinate training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.
5. HR Operations & Payroll
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate, timely payment and reporting.
- Manage employee benefits, time-off requests, and other day-to-day HR administrative tasks.
- Monitor and update employee records and databases to maintain accurate and organized HR documentation.
6. Conflict Resolution & Employee Relations
- Act as a confidential advisor to address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Foster an open-door culture, encouraging constructive feedback and communication.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to inform retention strategies.
7. HR Process Improvement
- Continuously assess and improve HR processes, finding ways to streamline and enhance efficiency.
- Implement HR systems or tools that support the company’s growth and improve HR service delivery.
- Regularly report on key HR metrics, identifying trends and making recommendations.
Requirements
1. Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; advanced certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience, including strategic HR functions and culture-building, preferably in a startup environment.
2. HR Knowledge
- Strong grasp of HR best practices, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Knowledge of regional HR compliance and labor laws, with experience in recruitment, onboarding, and training.
3. Communication & Leadership
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially and build relationships across all levels.
4. Cultural Impact
- Proven experience in fostering a positive company culture and managing change effectively.
5. Analytical Skills & Flexibility
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; experience using HR data to inform decisions.
- Availability to work 1-2 days per week, with flexibility for a dynamic startup setting.
