Traffic Operator

On behalf of successfully operating and further growing commodity trading company, headquartered in the City of Zug.

• You oversee the international transportation by sea and river shipments of the goods
• Organize container shipments in cooperation with the trading department
• Interaction and correspondence with various stakeholders, such as internal departments, ship brokers, insurance companies, inspection companies, customers and agents
• Following the financial aspects of international transactions, such as opening L/C’s, negotiate and issue documents, cashing of L/C’, manage credit limits
• Supervise execution of the physical trades of goods in mainly containers and furthermore bulk, bags or liquid form
• Interaction and correspondence with various stakeholders, such as internal departments, banks, insurance companies, inspection companies, sellers, buyers, intermediates
• Internal tasks, reporting

• Approx. 3-6 years of work experience in similar position and/or exposure to commodity trading / logistics / operations of seaborne trade / trade finance
• Ideally experienced in container and bulk shipments
• Accurate working and detail oriented, ability to independently manage tasks but also work in a team, ability to work under pressure
• Fluent in English
