Software Engineer - Integrations

We seek a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our logistics startup, specializing in same-day shipping for e-commerce merchants and retailers. You will be crucial in developing our Warehouse Management System (WMS), improving our API, and expanding our integration functionality with e-commerce and cloud communications platforms, like Shopify and Twilio. Your expertise in developing robust and scalable solutions will be instrumental in ensuring seamless order fulfillment and efficient communication processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and develop integration strategies for e-commerce platforms, focusing primarily on Shopify.
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions to synchronize order and inventory data between our logistics system and e-commerce platforms.
• Build scalable integrations with Warehouse Management Systems (WMSs) to optimize order routing, inventory management, and fulfillment processes.
• Develop and maintain integrations with cloud communications platforms, such as Twilio, to enable real-time notifications, alerts, and tracking updates for merchants and customers.
• Utilize various testing methodologies to identify software defects during different phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols.
• Document processes, APIs, and system architectures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure effective onboarding of new team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 1-3 years of work experience is required.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role, preferably within the e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain domain.
• Technical requirements: Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js. Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills are a must. Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver solutions to improve operational capabilities.
• Proficiency in building integrations using RESTful APIs, webhooks, and other relevant technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
• Familiarity with cloud communications platforms like Twilio or SendGrid and experience incorporating messaging, voice, and notifications services.
• Experience with API design, development, and documentation using tools like Postman and Redocly.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMSs) and experience with industry-standard WMSs is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Base Salary: $100k - $125k
