We are looking for a

Business Unit Manager Ingredients

You and your Team will sell Food Ingredients to the Food Industry

  • area Spain
  • the position will be office based Madrid or Barcelona: home office is possible
  • our client is an international Ingredients distributor
  • you have at least 5 years sales experience of Food Ingredient/Not FMCG products
  • you have experience in working for distributor
  • The job holder primarily oversees the expansion of business with existing customers, as well as the identification and exploration of new markets and customers in the food market in Spain.

Tasks

  • Elaboration and implementation of a commercial policy
  • Business analysis by industry/territory to deliver a commercial strategy
  • Monitoring of targets by industry/territory
  • Negotiation of contracts with customers and suppliers
  • Preparation and presentation of annual budget
  • Product Managers and Sales Team leadership.
  • Monitoring the team performance
  • Knowledge of industrial food customers in Spain.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of cereals in all their forms, grains, flours, flakes... will be an asset.
  • Customer & supplier relationship management: Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Portfolio management: Identifying opportunities in the portfolio and supplementing missing product/solution offerings.
  • Market / Competition: Conduct in-depth market analyses to understand supplier & customer needs, assess competitive landscapes and identify new opportunities.Act as Product Manager for various product ranges and/or suppliers, taking responsibility for the relationship and purchases with them.

Requirements

  • Food technology or similar degree
  • Knowledge in Marketing and Sales Management
  • IFS broker knowledge
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
  • exceptionally good communication, negotiation and analytical skills,
  • high willingness to travel
  • very organized, reliable, positive thinking
  • Very good knowledge of Spanish and English (fluent in spoken and written) Must have
  • you have a valid driving license Must have
  • You have experience with Team Leadin
