About us
BUYA and REI bring two distinct Japanese dining concepts to Berlin-Kreuzberg. BUYA focuses on homemade ramen and Japanese small plates, while REI combines contemporary izakaya dining with signature cocktails and selected sake. Both restaurants offer a relaxed atmosphere with a strong focus on food and hospitality.
We are looking for an experienced Shift Leader with strong organisational skills, a hands-on approach and a commitment to excellent service.
Tasks
- Prepare and cook dishes according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Organise your station and mise en place for efficient service.
- Maintain consistent flavour, presentation and portion sizes.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams throughout each shift.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures, including correct storage and labelling.
- Monitor stock, minimise food waste and keep your workspace clean.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable kitchen position.
- Completed vocational training as a cook or chef is an advantage.
- Experience with Asian cuisine is a plus.
- Fluent English is essential.
- A reliable, organised approach and attention to detail.
- The ability to stay focused during busy service periods.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support your team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
