We are looking for a Junior to Intermediate Linux Engineer who is eager to grow in a DevOps-focused environment.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in Linux system administration and a passion for automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
You will gain hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, and VMware, while working alongside experienced engineers.
Tasks
- Assist in managing Linux systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance.
- Support and maintain VMware virtualized environments.
- Learn and contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform.
- Write and maintain scripts in Bash and Python to automate tasks.
- Work with Red Hat Satellite to support system patching and deployment.
- Support the transition from Puppet to Ansible for configuration management.
- Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Collaborate using GitHub for version control and code management.
- Use Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for documentation and collaboration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with guidance from senior engineers.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience with Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS preferred).
- Basic understanding of VMware or other virtualization platforms.
- Some experience with Ansible and/or Terraform (professional or self-learning).
- Ability to write and modify Bash or Python scripts.
- Familiarity with GitHub for version control.
- Eagerness to learn CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and configuration management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a DevOps mindset.
- Basic experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus.
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
Exposure to Red Hat Satellite or other system management tools.
Basic knowledge of Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices.
Red Hat certifications (RHCSA) or working towards one.
