EQUIPMENT UND TEST ENGINEER (M/F/D) 80-100 %

FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

• You develop and test production concepts to validate the process engineering design for the production of the mineral foam products
• You accompany the commissioning and test phase of a scaled production plant in Spain over several months
• You translate the technical requirements for the machinery partner and suppliers and draw up specifications for components
• You procure machines and tools for the in-house development laboratory
• You supervise the technology handover of the future project team
• You carry out commissioning and handover to operations and future project team
• You are responsible for meeting the costs, deadlines and quality specifications of the project, taking into account safety, cost-effectiveness and environmental impact

• Basic technical training incl. further training as an engineer BSc/MSc FH/ETH in process engineering or similar
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the planning and/or realisation of plant construction projects; preferably in larger production plants (food, chemical or building materials industry)
• You have experience in the development of concept/preliminary designs
• Knowledge of the relevant national regulations and guidelines (incl. QHSE)
• Fluent written and spoken German and very good knowledge of English, knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
• You are very familiar with the common MS Office tools (especially Excel)
• Performance-orientated personality with high quality and cost awareness
• You can familiarise yourself with various tasks quickly and independently and react flexibly to challenges
• Professional demeanour and good negotiation skills are a prerequisite for this key function
