Position Overview:

As a Senior Business Controller, you will play an important role in financial planning, analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role requires a proactive and analytical thinker who is fluent in both German and English and comfortable working in a fast and international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB, as well as the continuous development of related processes and guidelines
• Develop, analyze, and monitor KPIs to assess financial performance and provide actionable insights to C-Level management and our international parent company AONIC
• Conduct budget planning and forecasting, identifying risks and opportunities for cost efficiency and growth
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, like BI team, to provide financial guidance on business initiatives and projects
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Present financial data, analyses and recommendations to key stakeholders and our international parent company AONIC

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in IFRS & controlling, financial analysis or related areas
• In the best case scenario you have basic knowledge in SQL and BI-Systems (like Tableau or PowerBI) and are interested in technical topics
• Fluent in German (at least C1) and English (both written and spoken)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it effectively
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels

Please note: this is not a remote only position, we offer you a flexible hybrid model here in Hamburg, Germany - working from home on Mondays & Fridays, coming to the office on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday! :)
