The Digital Pathology Business Consultant (m/f/d) is responsible for building the vision of Evident’s digital pathology clinical workflow solutions and developing a pipeline of strategic sales projects across early adopters, KOLs, and groups of collaborators such as healthcare regions, hospital networks, and large diagnostic reference labs.
This role involves initiating and developing a strong, long-term funnel of strategic projects, often leading to infrastructure investments at multiple sites. The specialist will engage at a senior level with multiple stakeholders, including pathologists, hospital administrators, and IT leaders, consulting and advising on the design and implementation of their digital plan.
The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge and the credibility to engage in and influence senior-level discussions, accelerating Evident’s opportunities with KOLs and participating in large complex projects. They will be an accomplished sales or business development professional and trusted advisor, with a proven track record of building long-term relationships and leading and winning large contracts, selling IVD Digital Pathology solutions within the healthcare sector.
The postion may be based in variety of locations in the EMEA region.
Tasks
- Achieve sales targets by selling Digital Pathology Products & Services to strategic customers, supporting the growth strategy and expansion plan.
- Develop and nurture a long-term sales funnel of high-value strategic projects.
- Work with the Digital Pathology Team and Regional Sales Teams to guide customers through their buying journey.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the company’s market share in digital pathology within strategic and large accounts. Qualify customer interest and needs, identifying decision-makers and stakeholders, and mapping technical, operational, and financial requirements. Consult, advise, and present Evident’s digital pathology solutions to potential clients, aligned with their strategic goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their pathology workflows and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Evident teams and partners to provide product demonstrations, facilitate workflow discussions, and support tender responses.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to deliver customer satisfaction.
- Maintain industry expertise and network, staying informed about trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies.
- Attend conferences and congresses, give presentations and webinars, and host reference site visits and industry panels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or Key Account Management related to the digital pathology transformation in healthcare e.g. digital pathology products or services, healthcare IT software, AI decision support software for pathology or pathology workflow solutions.
- Deep digital pathology industry knowledge and expertise; established network of customers and industry/workflow partner relationships.
- Proven success in sales or BD capacity, consultative selling skills, leadership, communication excellence, negotiation, contracting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and present impactful group presentations.
- Managing large complex sales and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in clinical laboratory sales, healthcare IT.
- Background in IT or technology sales.
- Experience with strategic selling or large account management processes.
- Expected travel up to 80%.
