Everest Carbon is a fast-growing, VC-backed climate technology startup specializing in innovative sensor technology for the commercialization of negative emissions.

As the Field Deployment Lead, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and validating our groundbreaking carbon removal technology in real-world environments.

You will lead the planning, execution, and oversight of sensor deployments, ensuring seamless integration into diverse field conditions while collecting critical data for technology validation. Acting as the bridge between the technical development team and the operational realities of field use, you will help refine our sensor systems based on field insights.

With exceptional performance, you will have the opportunity to shape our field deployment strategies, oversee our internal sensor field testing, and directly contribute to the global rollout of our innovative sensor technology.

Tasks

  • Plan and execute field deployments of our sensor systems, including site preparation, installation, and performance validation.
  • Develop and refine deployment protocols to ensure reliable sensor operation under varying field conditions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to incorporate field insights into sensor design and functionality improvements.
  • Oversee logistics and manage on-site troubleshooting to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Train customers and stakeholders on installation and use of the sensor systems.
  • Coordinate with regulatory and project partners to comply with local field deployment requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Master's degree in Soil Science, Geochemistry, Geophysics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing field operations or deploying technical systems in outdoor environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and performance validation in real-world conditions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving technical challenges in the field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and present field insights clearly in English (German proficiency is a plus).
  • Proven ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic field conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience interfacing with external stakeholders like customers, standard-setting bodies, or similar.
