Our business model allows providers to grow sales with referrals from happy customers, ambassadors to earn commissions while driving sales, and EpiHelp AB to thrive as community host.
We are seeking a passionate, out of the box thinking Co-Founder Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our B2C+B2B Marketing strategy, initially focusing on lighthouse campaigns to simultaneously ramp up basense User and Ambassador count, while kick-starting our revenue streams across affiliate partnerships. This is an equity-based role until funding is secured, offering the candidate with strong buy-in, endurance, and entrepreneurial spirit a unique high risk | high reward opportunity. We're at the point of entering the revenue phase within the next 2 or 3 months.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Lighthouse Campaigns: In a dream scenario for any super creative marketer lighthouse campaigns are planned and executed building on basense use cases that provide unprecedented features for social community building, blind dates, ambassadorship, and affiliate marketing. The campaigns involve all relevent stakeholders, like users, ambassadors, and merchants.
- Commercial Growth: Plan and execute the affiliate partnership acquisition with merchants via direct contracting or affiliate networks, ensuring the sustainable growth of basense merchant partnerships across multiple geographies and verticals.
- User Growth: Plan and execute user acquisition and retention strategies using appropriate digital marketing tools and services, like social media marketing, SEO, ASO, analytics, and managing social media agencies.
- Ambassador Programs: Lead and scale the influencer and ambassador acquisition and marketing strategy to grow the platform’s reach and engagement.
- Excel in Value Selling: Optimize monetization strategies across affiliate partnerships, consulting services, and SaaS fees, ensuring a scalable, profitable business model applying a data-based value selling philosophy.
- Targeting % Branding: Plan, build, and execute branding and marketing activities, tailored to target audiences in different regions and verticals. Further develop the visuals of the basense application and website. Create a consistent signature branding.
- Market Expansion: Develop market entry strategies for new regions, collaborating closely with marketing agencies and local partners to expand basense’s merchant and user base.
- Cross-functional team: Work closely in a team consisting of the technology developers, affiliate system and network providers, and the senior management.
- Commercial Excellence: Maximize user and customer acquisition efficiency, maximize revenue and profit per active user metrics.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Proven Leadership: Minimum 10 years executive experience in Start-up, small or medium sized digital ventures, with a focus on digital marketing, or affiliate marketing in fast scaling, user-centric hybrid (B2C and B2B) business models.
- Influencer and Ambassadors: Proven experience in planning, launching and growing influencer and ambassadors networks
- Affiliate Network: Experience in onboarding merchants with direct contracts as well as integrating in external or internal affiliate systems. Ability to specify automated processes for scaling purposes.
- Commercial Excellence: Demonstrated success in optimizing commercial metrics like Cost per Installation, Cost per Customer Acquisition, Revenue and Profit per Active User, Conversion and Retention rates, ideally in app-based ecosystems or SaaS environment.
- Marketing & Sales Integration: Strong understanding of how marketing and sales processes intersect, with the ability to leverage both to drive commercial success. Setting the structure enabling future growth.
- Ability to navigate complex sytems: Be passionate about understanding, navigating, and operating multiple intersecting technology and business layers with multiple stakeholders involved.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A hands on, outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to endure high-risk, high-reward startup environments that succeed for their unmatched team spirit and will to win.
- Driving Innovation: Ability to picture, sell, and drive innovative solutions.
- Global Experience: Experience working in remote, decentralized teams with a global focus, especially in high-growth, tech-driven environments.
- Educational Background: Degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields, with strong experience in digital marketing, content marketing, and SaaS business models.
- Minimum Financial Independence: at least for the initial period of 3 to 6 months the candidate must have a financial independence as a retainer can only be initiated after the seed round financing has successfully been completed.
