Senior Legal Counsel - Berlin (m/f/d)

We are working with a high-growth company in Berlin that's looking for a Senior Legal Counsel - but the remit is broader than the title suggests.

This person will shape the legal function, optimise legal processes, and set the strategic direction for legal - while managing a mix of in-house topics (Corporate, Commercial, Regulatory, etc).

If things go well, there's a clear path to becoming Head of Legal.

• Design and implement scalable legal processes that support a high-growth environment.
• Review and improve contract templates, policies, and internal workflows.
• Oversee legal matters related to corporate law, labor law, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise the business proactively.
• Manage external legal advisors to ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal support.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including commercial, partnership, employment, and vendor agreements.

• Qualified lawyer (Germany) with 4+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Solid grounding in commercial and corporate law.
• In-house experience preferred - either from a scale-up, or tech-heavy company.
• A hands-on mindset - you’re comfortable working independently and wearing multiple legal hats.
• Clear communicator who can explain legal issues in practical, business-first language.
• Ambitious and pragmatic, with an interest in building in an innovative environment.
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
