(Senior) Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Attention! Our Tech Team is currently looking for a passionate and street-smart Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) to become the backbone of our backend. You like working on a real product and focus on clean code? You like to work in a fast paced environment with ever changing needs, as we are working in fast and short iterations? You have a proven track record of working on larger projects?

• You are the backbone of our backend and work in a small team together with our CTO and Co-Founder closely on a daily basis
• You are taking ownership and being responsible for the backend services. As the company will grow, the backend needs to be scalable, and maintainable, so it can meet the needs of our future users. You are part of our vision!
• You will both cut corners in a clever way to not create too much technical debt and know when we need to create a rocket ship and when a small raft is enough to cross the river. In your work you have an eye for the big picture.
• You like working in startup atmosphere and feel comfortable with fast and short iterations.
• In collaboration with the CTO you will take on a variety of tasks at both an operational and strategic level

• You hold a Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with academic success
• You have 5+ years of experience and have already worked in high-paced startups
• You have a proven track record of working on larger projects and have worked with at least 2 – 3 other developers on projects
• You know how to scale and test a backend, have already implemented initiatives to make it better and more robust
• You focus on clean code for maintainability and follow best practices and standards
• You are an expert in NodeJS / Express.js and Typescript as well as REST API for mobile and web
• You have proven skills to create a REST API from scratch and feel comfortable using PostgreSQL / Typeorm / Prisma and Docker
• You have strong communication skills, a positive mindset and want to understand the mindset of our customers
• You are a problem solver and flexible to jump on critical bugs even though you are working on a task
• You are fluent in English

• You will be part of the architectural decisions and implementation of elevating our backend and services to the next level - you will become a leading voice in how we build backends at Crafthunt
• We love to explore cutting edge technologies to push our boundaries and keep growing as developers and as a team
• We have a feedback focused development with pair programming and code reviews to make each other better developers
• You like automating workflows as much as we do, so a tedious task like deployment is smooth as butter
• We have short (1 week) sprints and are releasing features in iterations fast to get feedback
• You will have great flexibility in organizing your working hours and place of work as the whole company is remote-first, with only one office in Munich.
• You will be part of a great passionate team that values an international company culture.
• You will work closely with our CTO, that has a proven track record of building scalable projects and leading teams across the globe with a high paced intercontinental agency.

We are a remote-first Company! However, the time shift should not be more than 2 +/- hours CET.
