If these values resonate with you, we’d love to explore how you can join us on this exciting journey!
Meet Dolf, our Senior UX Researcher
“I joined Catawiki in 2021, having used it myself to find some cool design pieces for my new apartment and becoming enamoured with the vast range of special objects on offer. We work with buyers, sellers and experts across multiple categories (from coins all the way to classic cars) to make Catawiki the platform it is. In other words: no two days are the same and no two research projects are the same either – we work on everything from strategic questions like “how do we improve discovery?” to running usability tests for new features we’re launching to make the platform better for buyers and sellers. Together with product managers, engineers, data scientists and others, we aim to create the best possible user experience that delights our customers every step of the way.”
How you'll make an impact
At Catawiki, we know our users’ experience is built by the entire journey; from initial brand perception all the way through to selling & buying, paying & shipping, and service & support.
As our UX research intern, you will work under the Senior UX researcher across the business, helping designers, engineers and product managers (among others) understand how to delight our users and how to make their experience as unique and memorable as the objects themselves.
In this role, you will assist our Senior UX Researcher in designing and executing the research we need to understand our users' behaviour, motivations, and pain points - and in doing so “learn by doing” about how to design, conduct and analyse research. You’ll also own helping us capitalise on the research we’ve already done, by better organising and publicising it.
You bring some knowledge of, but mainly an interest in learning about, primary research methods (surveys, diary studies, interviews, usability tests) as well as secondary & expert methods (such as cognitive walkthroughs and desk research).
You will learn about how to gain insights through qualitative methods and create recommendations following quantitative validation.
At the end of your internship, you will have directly and indirectly helped shape our users' experience through an understanding on how to make it more useful, more usable, and more desirable.
Please note that benefits can vary by location. For specific information regarding what’s available in your country, please consult your recruiter.
Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with your colleagues. Of course, if the job description specifies that the role is 100% remote—such as for certain expert or sales positions—then that arrangement will apply.
Apply directly with an English CV and cover letter by submitting your information at the bottom of this page. By submitting your application you agree to .
If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
