Make a global impact in HR leadership
Our client is an internationally active family business in the plastics processing/ healthcare sector – a global leader in its market segment. With over 1,000 employees on four continents, it is represented at more than four production and sales locations worldwide. In this newly created key role, you will assume overall responsibility for all strategic and operational HR topics.
Tasks
- Development and implementation of a global HR strategy, focusing on: GMP-compliant production environments, engineering functions, and experienced professionals in the healthcare industry
- First point of contact for all global HR management issues for the Executive Board, top management, specialists, and managers (including recruitment, personnel development, and offboarding)
- Advising and supporting managers in team and organisational development, talent management, succession planning, etc., with the goal of building a resilient, future-ready organisation
- Close collaboration with Plant Management, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Supply Chain, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
- Introduction of global HR standards and systems, as well as development and implementation of talent programmes
- Leadership and further development of the global HR team
- Responsibility for personnel planning, HR controlling, and monitoring of HR KPIs, as well as implementing performance-enhancing measures aligned with the company’s sustainability strategy
- Workforce planning for site expansions, production relocations, or new site development, as well as change management support for global transformation processes (e.g. reorganisations, digitalisation, M&A)
- Managing international recruitment activities and designing strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention, including compensation and benefits
- Ensuring compliance with labour laws, and social and ethical standards across all countries
Requirements
- University degree in HR, business, law or life sciences with an HR focus, and at least 10 years of experience in international HR management – ideally in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry
- Proven leadership experience, particularly in international and multicultural teams – combined with strong diplomatic skills
- Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, creative drive, and strong implementation skills
- Ability to engage and inspire the organisation in a challenging environment, and experience in working with works councils
- Ideally, knowledge of international labour law and global HR processes, including the design of cross-functional, international networks
- Very good command of German and excellent business-level English
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
