Broco is building the financial layer francophone Africa needs but doesn't have yet, by starting where the money already flows. Not in bank accounts (most people don't have one, by choice), but in the supply chains, the merchants, the delivery drivers, the cash that moves through every neighborhood every day.

Our thesis is contrarian: people aren't unbanked because banks don't exist. They're unbanked because banks aren't useful - yet. Small merchants want cash to pay their suppliers; that preference trickles down to consumers, who have no reason to keep money digital. We're changing that by becoming the rail the cash itself travels on.

We're launching three connected apps simultaneously across Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia - Broco for consumers, Broco Transporter for delivery drivers and couriers, and Broco Agent for merchants and neighborhood cash points. Backed by top-tier VCs, with offices in central Algiers and Oran.

We're hiring a Head of Operations / VP Operations to lead the function across all three markets. The role reports directly to the CEO and sits on the leadership team.

Tasks

  • Build and scale Broco’s operational infrastructure across North Africa
  • Design and execute scalable operational workflows for:
    . cash-in / cash-out,
    . merchant operations,
    . driver & courier operations,
    . agent network operations,
    . cash collection & settlement
  • Build and manage Broco’s cash agent network
  • Lead operational expansion across Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia
  • Coordinate field operations with merchants, logistics companies and partners
  • Create operational playbooks, SOPs and internal processes
  • Monitor operational performance, liquidity flows and operational KPIs
  • Recruit and manage operations teams, supervisors and field managers
  • Work closely with product & engineering teams to improve field operations and internal tooling
  • Help transform logistics and cash movement infrastructure into scalable digital financial rails

Requirements

  • +7 years experience in operations leadership roles
  • Strong operational background in fast-moving or logistics-heavy companies
  • Experience managing large field operations or distributed operational teams
  • Strong leadership and execution capabilities
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ownership mindset
  • Highly valued backgrounds include scaling operations in hyper-growth mobility, on-demand delivery ecosystems, large-scale e-commerce marketplaces, or complex FMCG distribution networks.
