We are seeking a talented and dynamic non-prime steel and metals scrap trader to join our team in Lille.
Tasks
As a non-prime steel and metals scrap trader, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing sales and purchasing strategies for non-prime steel products (such as wires, bars and tubes) and metals scrap, primarily aluminum scrap. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing the entire deal lifecycle, from identifying new business opportunities to negotiating contracts.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Execute sales and purchase strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and customers.
- Prospect worldwide to recruit new business partners.
- Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers for recurring business (frequent interactions, international travels and attending exhibitions).
- Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry players.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in international trade.
- Knowledge of the steel industry and metals scrap industry, with specific experience in the non-prime steel market being a plus.
- Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite.
- Highly structured and self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Language Proficiency : English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Spanish, or others are a plus.
