Plastics Purchasing Specialist - Spain

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Plastics Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Spain.

As a Plastics Purchasing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics. You will focus on purchasing material from Spain. Reporting to the Spain Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing plastics in different Spanish regions (Murcia, Andalucia, Extramadura, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid y Comunidad Valenciana), from identifying new business opportunities to negotiating contracts.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:
● Execute purchase strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
● Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
● Coordinate logistics with our head office.
● Prospect in Spain (about 4 days of travelling every 15 days) to recruit new suppliers,
possibly Portugal as well.
● Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business (frequent interactions,
travels and attending exhibitions).
● Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry
players.

● Experience in international trade/purchasing.
● Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market
being a plus.
● Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite.
● Self-directed, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop long-term business
relationships.
● Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages
such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus.
