As an experienced Front-end Engineer, you will take on a key role in driving the growth of our .jOS SaaS platform, as well as in the strategic planning, implementation, and continuous optimization of our digitalization solutions. You will play a crucial part in enhancing efficiency and ensuring the security and stability of our systems. Take responsibility for the growth of our .jOS SaaS platform. As a Senior Front-end engineer, you can contribute to the following areas:

• Utilizing modern front-end technologies and system architectures (e.g., microservices, reactive programming, serverless) to develop scalable and efficient applications
• Willingness to work with, learn, and adapt to our current tech stack, including Node.js, TypeScript, React, React Native, NextJS
• Ensuring high code quality through best practices, clean and maintainable code, and thorough code reviews to support scalability and sustainability
• Integrating third-party APIs and delivering robust, low-latency APIs for front-end applications and other consumers (e.g., crawlers), focusing on performance optimization
• Engaging in DevOps processes with a strong emphasis on automation and high-quality code (e.g., trunk-based development, infrastructure as code, multi-level test automation)
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the team's success
• In an agile environment, you will work closely with subject matter experts, the editorial team, and the development team, supported by a strong network.

• Strong intrinsic motivation and determination for personal development
• Proven experience in software engineering (5+ years), with a strong focus on front-end technologies, ideally on top of a degree in computer science or a related field (e.g., mathematics, physics)
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, with the ability to work within complex, custom code-bases in large-scale, high-availability environments
• Solid experience working with modern front-end technologies, particularly React.js and Next.js, and their integration with backend systems
• A passion for understanding the underlying business objectives and user experiences driving the development of software systems, ensuring technical solutions are aligned with business needs and deliver value to end users
• A strong team player who can actively collaborate, provide feedback, and contribute to guiding colleagues through shared development efforts and technical discussions
• Very good written and spoken German and English as well as an open-minded attitude towards other cultures
