Allianz Digital Health GmbH (ADH) is a Munich, Germany based subsidiary of Allianz SE.

ADH has a dual mission: Developing cloud-based software applications for Health insurance and supporting Allianz units world-wide in optimising their Health insurance business along the value chain.

What does it take to develop outstanding software or to support Health insurance executives globally to achieve lasting success in their business?

It takes a lot. We are looking for people with dedication, knowledge, and curiosity. For people who want to learn and work in a truly exceptional team.

If you feel inspired by the idea to tackle some of the hardest intellectual challenges in the industry and see your software, algorithm or advice having tangible impact at Allianz units worldwide, ADH is the right place for you.

As a (Junior) Legal Counsel, Data Privacy and Compliance Manager you strengthen our Legal, Compliance and Privacy Team (LC&P) with your ability to quickly analyse complex legal, privacy and compliance-related matters and to find both compliant and practical solutions, always taking into consideration ADH's business model and needs. You will work very closely with ADH's Senior Legal Counsel, Data Protection & Compliance Officer as well as across all ADH functions and Allianz Group representatives. You will not only be the central point of contact for all legal and privacy-related matters about our digital product development and distribution of our products, but also for any such matters regarding ADH as an organisation.

Tasks

  • Support the effective management and continued development of ADH's legal, compliance and privacy program, including corporate housekeeping.
  • Maintain and update ADH's corporate rules: regularly review, monitor and implement Allianz corporate documents that are applicable to ADH; create ADH internal corporate documents as required and support their implementation.
  • Maintain the ADH contract library and manage ongoing contractual relationships with ADH customers and providers.
  • Manage risks: Regularly review company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks; assess company operations to determine legal, compliance, data privacy and ethics risks; create and manage effective risk mitigation action plans in response to identified risks.
  • Conduct internal employee training sessions on the latest regulations and processes, particularly around data privacy and compliance; promote a privacy and compliance-oriented culture within the company.
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal, compliance and data privacy, including any (privacy) incidents, if any.
  • Support the ADH Data Protection Officer in monitoring performance and providing privacy advice on daily business activities as well as the services provided by ADH.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company, including the purposes of all processing activities.
  • Conduct dedicated privacy and ethics impact assessments for required processing activities.
  • Regularly liaise with relevant cross-functional teams within the company or on Allianz Group level on legal, privacy and compliance obligations.
  • Support in ADH's third-party risk management: Conduct due diligence on (potential) business partners from a regulatory, legal, privacy and compliance perspective; support the maintenance of ADH's records of approved providers, vendors, and software assets.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist) licensed in Germany or comparable (international) law degree, preferably with above-average results. A focus on IT law, digitization and data protection is a plus, but not a must.
  • Previous professional experience is not required; young professionals/recent graduates are welcome.
  • A clear, detailed, logical approach with excellent record keeping and the ability to work with little supervision and a high degree of self-organisation is essential.
  • Clear, concise communication skills and experience at presenting complex subject matter to business audiences is desirable.
  • The candidate must be a team player with ability to foster good working relations and support the team´s professional standards and customer service orientation.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and German.

Benefits

  • You will have business impact and see the results of your projects live and in production in markets across the world.
  • You enjoy Allianz Group benefits while at the same time working in a start-up culture – with great flexibility in working style, freedom to shape your working environment, a super-flat hierarchy and fast decision-making processes.
  • You can balance your work and other commitments with flexible working hours and the chance to regularly work from home.
  • You work in a fun team of highly motivated colleagues who support each other and celebrate successes as a team.

The Office is located in Munich-Riem (Willy-Brandt-Platz 3; Messestadt West U2).
