Robotics Deployment Engineer & Fleet Manager (m/w/d)

Employee
Engineering

Hello There!

At Angsa, we're revolutionizing waste removal with our autonomous trash picking robots. Our mission is to create cleaner, more efficient cities by deploying innovative robotics solutions. We're seeking a talented Robotics Deployment Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance and deployment engineering for our autonomous trash picking robots as we expand our operations to various cities.

This role requires a valid driver's license or willingness to obtain one for occasional customer visits and test deployments, but most of the work is on-site at our office & workshop in Munich.

Tasks

As a Robotics Deployment Engineer, you serve as the link between development and operations, being an expert for both the robot's technology and the daily operations at customer sites. You ensure that new components function effectively on the robot and that the robots perform well on site.

Focus areas in spring/summer, our peak season:

  • Managing the setup, configuration, and commissioning of robots
  • Technical management of our fleet management dashboard which our First Responder Team uses to monitor the robots during business hours
  • Developing tooling for detection, diagnosis, and documentation of errors, as well as remote troubleshooting
  • Hands-on debugging, troubleshooting and on-site visits to make sure the robots do what they are supposed to do

Focus areas in fall/winter:

  • Taking ownership of the release and QA process (both technical and organizational). How are new versions tested? How and when is testing conducted? What is the pipeline for identified issues?
  • Development of test benches for continuous integration testing indoors (interdisciplinary, e.g. design and development of the indoor HIL site)
  • Development and evaluation projects (e.g. data-based comparison of new GNSS modules)
  • Coordination of student assistants for continuous testing of the robots

Requirements

  • Completed studies in computer science or a comparable field
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in mobile robotics
  • Good understanding of robotics, including sensors, actuators, and networks
  • Excellent skills in Python, Git, and robotics frameworks such as ROS2
  • You are smart and an excellent problem solver
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Diver's licence (or willingness to obtain one) and openness to occasional customer visits

Benefits

✅ A key role in our small, excellent team that is developing and actually deploying the world's first garbage collection robot!
✅ A creative, passionate, and international team with flat hierarchies
✅ Great potential for personal development in a growing team
✅ Startup atmosphere: regular team events, flexible working hours, and a cool office in the heart of Munich
✅ Stock options for every team member
✅ 30 vacation days per year

We're looking forward to meeting you!
