Tasks

As a Product Owner Payments and Open Banking, you will be responsible for driving the development and optimisation of our successful international banking products, with main focus on payments, cards and open banking. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the product vision, prioritize features, and ensure timely product development and delivery. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research, analyzing user data, and collaborating with sales and operations to gain customer insights. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in product specification and documentation, launch planning, and driving product adoption. The ideal candidate should have a strong background as a business analyst in the financial industry (payment area), project management skills, and possess technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with management to define and communicate the product vision, strategy and development roadmap for our international banking products.
  • Product Development: Define and prioritize product requirements and features based on market demands and internal requirements. Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and successful product development and delivery. Drive effective backlog management, user story creation and prioritization of development efforts.
  • User-Centric Approach & Data Analysis: Conduct market research and collaborate with sales and operations to gain insights into customer needs, pain points and preferences. Monitor product adoption and performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Product Documentation: Create and maintain product documentation and product release notes.
  • Product Launch and Adoption: Plan and execute successful product launches, including go-to-market strategies, marketing collateral and enablement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years proven experience in the financial industry as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or in a similar role in the area of payments, cards and open banking
  • Experience with regard to
    - Payment message formats: SWIFT, SIC, ISO20022, SEPA
    - Open banking, EBICs
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development, web technologies and / or SQL
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Team spirit and good communication abilities, good organizational skills

Main work location is Vaduz or Zurich. Possibility to work up to 40% homeoffice.
