We're thrilled to announce that we're expanding our Cloud Native team of 20 people in Switzerland and are on the lookout for a Senior System Engineer to join our company.

Our team collaborates with our customers in their organizational and technical transition to the Cloud Native world. We plan, build, and run critical cloud-based IT infrastructure based on our proven and standardized stack of tools for container plattforms, security measures, and CI/CD solutions.

Tasks

As a Senior System Engineer, you will lead customer projects and act as the single point of contact for selected service level agreements (SLAs).

Your task and duties will include:

  • acting as the technical lead in projects with multiple internal and external contributors
  • engineering, reverse-engineering, and challenging requirements
  • maintaining, configuring, and upgrading complex and critical systems (e.g., multi-cluster/disaster recovery) and managing exceptional maintenance (e.g. security incidents)
  • designing and deploying complex (multi-)cloud and on-premise platforms
  • providing comprehensive product and service support, solving high-priority and high-impact issues, and facilitates problem-solving for Juniors and Professionals
  • expanding your expertise in HashiCorp Vault through training and hands-on projects

Requirements

Must-Have Hard Skills

  • You have at least a B2 level of German, preferably C1.
  • You have between five and eight years of work experience as a system engineer in cloud environments.
  • You have in-depth expertise in the CNCF and HashiCorp stack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps.
  • You have extensive experience in developing software and migrating software to the cloud environment.
  • You understands advanced networking principles and are able to apply them to network designs.
  • You can assess the impact of security exploits and apply proper countermeasures.
  • You can improve existing automations and write and implement new ones.
  • You understand the interplay between different systems from both a technical and business point of view.

  • Customer Engagement: You identify customer needs, address their requests, utilize their feedback, develop customer-centric solutions, and shape positive customer relations.

Nice-to-Haves

  • You have experience with GitLab, HashiCorp, OpenShift and/or SUSE products
  • You have GitLab, HashiCorp, Red Hat and/or SUSE certifications.
  • You have AWS, Azure and/or GCP certifications.
