More than 1,100 customers in 30 countries use our configurable and customizable software (SaaS) to record cultural heritage and manage daily business. They are taken care of by our headquarters in Switzerland as well as our offices in Germany, France, Spain, Finland, USA, and our worldwide partners. zetcom celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023 with its 100 employees.

Our North American team is working with prestigious institutions, private collections, corporate archives and well-known brands, implementing our software according to our clients’ requirements. The team is looking for a technical expert to support our clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team, help shape the direction of the North American branch of zetcom and foster our client base, with the full backing and support of our European headquarters.

Tasks

The Project Manager leads our clients through the full implementation cycle of our collection management suite MuseumPlus and eMuseumPlus with a strong focus on our online solution (eMuseumPlus). The Project Manager leads projects for new clients as well as defining an delivering enhancements to our existing user community in North America. The ideal candidate is an expert in museums and collection management with strong experience leading projects and managing stakeholders and a good understanding of the digital and technical services sector. The position reports to the Head of Projects & Services in North America and it has a strong connection to the zetcom Project Managment Office and project managers in Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Position responsibilities

  • Plans and executes solution implementation projects in scope, time, and budget
  • Manages clients and stakeholders
  • Defines of work packages and works with zetcom’s team of technical experts
  • Analyzes customer data and data mapping for migration projects
  • Conducts quality assurance testing
  • Leads client workshops and trainings
  • Supports pre-sales activities
  • Specifies and implements changes to existing solutions
  • Provides 2nd level support for regional customers
  • Supports or lead implementation projects outside North America, as required

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience (preferably computer sciences, business administration, or cultural studies)
  • Interest in and satisfaction from working with the cultural sector and non-profit organizations
  • Five years of proven professional experience in a full or partial lead role in IT projects, ideally with web-based systems and complex data structures
  • Proven planning, organisational, and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proven high level of self-organization, sense of responsibility, and teamworking skills (particularly in global teams)
  • Customer-centric service philosophy
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (nationally and internationally, primarily within region)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the will to represent our products in the region

Desirable

  • Practical experience with collection management, documentation or archiving systems
  • Experience in managing client projects for web applications
  • Practical experience as requirements engineer or business analyst
  • Project management, product management, or requirements engineering certification
  • Practical experience with Confluence and Jira or other helpdesk/ticket systems
  • Proficiency in any additional languages (other than English) (French or German is a plus)
