Tasks

Consultancy Description:

The Rwanda Growth and Partnerships Consultant will support Zenysis’ growth, strategic partnerships, and market positioning in Rwanda. The consultant will maintain consistent engagement with government stakeholders, donors, implementing partners, and other decision-makers to identify new opportunities, strengthen Zenysis’ relationships, and advance priority opportunities toward funding and contract award.

The role is designed to provide dedicated local Growth capacity alongside Zenysis’ Rwanda Delivery team. The consultant will focus on progressing priority opportunities, strengthening strategic relationships, and providing market intelligence that informs Zenysis' growth strategy. He/Shewill work closely with country, regional, and global leadership to ensure that opportunities and relationships receive continuous follow-up, government priorities are understood early, and Zenysis is positioned as a trusted technical partner across digital health, data analytics, artificial intelligence, health financing, and other areas aligned with national priorities.

The role may also provide targeted support to current implementation activities where doing so strengthens stakeholder relationships, accelerates project execution, or creates pathways for expansion.

Candidates must be based in Rwanda, with preference given to qualified Rwandan nationals.

Essential Functions:

1. Opportunity Conversion & Deal Progression (55%)

  • Take ownership of day-to-day progression of priority Rwanda opportunities from identification through qualification, scoping, proposal development, contracting, and booking.
  • Identify bottlenecks preventing opportunities from progressing and proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Maintain persistent follow-up with government counterparts, donors, partners, and internal teams to ensure agreed actions move forward.
  • Coordinate the inputs required from Growth, Delivery, Product, Finance, and leadership to keep opportunities progressing.
  • Support development of concept notes, proposals, presentations, budgets, briefing materials, and other inputs required to move opportunities toward award.
  • Track clear next steps, owners, timelines, and dependencies for each priority opportunity and escalate issues when progress stalls.
  • Support commercial positioning and engagement strategy for priority opportunities.
  • Drive opportunities toward concrete outcomes, with particular focus on converting active pipelines into signed contracts and bookings.

2. Lead Identification & Pipeline Development (35%)

  • Proactively identify and originate new business opportunities across government, donors, implementing partners, and other relevant institutions in Rwanda.
  • Maintain close visibility into government priorities, funding discussions, procurement processes, and emerging areas where Zenysis could add value.
  • Build and maintain a strong network across the MoH, RBC, NHIC, donors, implementing partners, and other decision-makers to identify opportunities early.
  • Translate stakeholder needs and market intelligence into concrete leads that can be assessed and advanced by the Growth team.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of the Rwanda pipeline, including new leads, decision-makers, opportunity value, funding pathways, and next steps.
  • Surface new opportunities across priority areas including Gates, GFF, NHIC, AskAI, Rwanda FDA, Ministry of Youth and Arts, RBC, and other government priorities.

3. Growth Coordination & Team Enablement (10%)

  • Serve as the primary Rwanda Growth coordination point across core growth team members, and the broader Growth team.
  • Take ownership of routine follow-up, stakeholder coordination, meeting preparation, and pipeline actions that currently fall across multiple team members.
  • Ensure senior team members are brought into opportunities at the right moments, with clear context, objectives, and required decisions.
  • Prepare internal teams for important stakeholder meetings and ensure actions are followed through immediately afterward.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records, including stakeholder engagement, opportunity status, risks, and next steps.
  • Help connect insights from current implementation with potential extensions, new use cases, and broader commercial opportunities.
  • Reduce the Growth-related administrative and coordination burden on Delivery staff so they can remain focused on project execution.
