Senior QA Automation Engineer (Payments)

Play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a balanced approach of test automation and manual testing. With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, you will work closely with developers and product owners to deliver high-quality products. You will also collaborate with other QA members to define and improve our testing and delivery processes.

In this role, you will work closely with our Payments Engineering Team to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of payment-related systems and services.

Tasks

  • Own testing activities, proactively identifying gaps and driving solutions.
  • Work effectively in projects with limited documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Develop and enhance automation frameworks and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability, API, and cross-browser testing.
  • Analyze test results, track defects, verify fixes, and contribute to QA process improvements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and champion QA best practices.
  • Lead root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Drive automation adoption through team upskilling, framework standardization, and process improvements.
  • Continuously explore new tools, AI-assisted development practices, and testing techniques.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience, including 4+ years in test automation.
  • Hands-on experience in Quality Assurance within payments-related products, including transaction processing, integrations with payment providers, and payment workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright and Cucumber.
  • Experience testing REST APIs and working with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB).
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript or a similar language.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, Git/GitLab, CI/CD, Jira, and Xray.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6) is a plus.
  • Experience with or interest in using AI development assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex ect.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-learning mindset.
  • iGaming industry experience is an advantage.
