Internship - Operations (Next Generation Parking Systems)

Urban Connect (UC) is building the future of integrated corporate mobility. We design, operate, and continuously improve a wide suite of mobility solutions - from digitally connected e-bikes and cars to proprietary parking and access systems – all seamlessly integrated into one platform.

Our Operations team plays a central role in making this vision a reality. It is responsible for planning, delivering, and setting up all Urban Connect products and ensuring they operate reliably at scale for our customers.

As an Operations Intern with a focus on Next Generation parking systems, you will work at the intersection of technology, operations, product development, and project management. In close collaboration with our COO and CTO / Engineering team, you will contribute directly to the evolution of Urban Connect’s proprietary parking technology and its real-world deployment:

• Support the development and rollout of next-generation intelligent parking and EV charging systems
• Assist the project management for parking and charging infrastructure deployments, from planning to go-live
• Actively interact with key internal and external stakeholders, incl. Engineering, Operations, partners, clients, large real estate owners, and operators
• Help manage stakeholder expectations, requirements, and interests across complex projects
• Work closely with Engineering to translate technical capabilities into operational and on-site realities
• Support pilot projects, testing phases, and on-site installations
• Analyze operational and project data to identify improvement opportunities
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and continuous optimization of parking and EV charging operations

Your profile

• You are soon to complete or have recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, or a related technical field
• Strong interest in mobility, smart infrastructure, EV charging, and technology-driven operations
• You are motivated to work at the interface of software and hardware, with a curiosity for both digital systems and physical infrastructure
• First exposure to or strong interest in project management, system rollouts, and stakeholder coordination
• Structured, analytical, and hands-on mindset
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with external partners
• High level of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn
• Language requirements: very good English skills; German at a very good conversational level (professional or native proficiency is a strong plus); French is a strong plus
