We are a fast-growing European Waste-to-Energy (WtE) company delivering turnkey solutions based on proprietary gasification technology. With operational projects in several countries, a strong engineering team, and a robust project pipeline, we aim to expand our impact across the EU and beyond. We are now seeking an experienced and driven EU Grants and Public Funding Manager to strengthen our access to grant financing and public funds.

Tasks

  • Identify relevant EU, national, and regional grant opportunities across Ireland, the Czech Republic, and other eligible countries (e.g., Horizon Europe, Innovation Fund, LIFE, CEF, ERDF, Enterprise Ireland, Technological Agency of the Czech Republic, etc.).
  • Assess project eligibility and provide strategic recommendations for suitable grant applications.
  • Coordinate and lead the grant application process, including:

  • Technical documentation (in cooperation with engineering team)
  • Financial budgeting (in cooperation with CFO)
  • Submission timelines and communication with funding bodies

  • Manage post-award processes, including:

  • Reporting and compliance with funding conditions
  • Coordination with auditors and external consultants
  • Handling communications with grant authorities

  • Monitor changes in public funding programs relevant to clean technologies and energy innovation.
  • Maintain internal databases and tracking systems for ongoing and upcoming funding opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, International Relations, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in EU grants or public funding, ideally in the CleanTech, Energy, Infrastructure, or Sustainability sectors.
  • Solid understanding of EU funding frameworks (Horizon Europe, Innovation Fund, LIFE, etc.) and national grant mechanisms.
  • Strong technical and financial writing skills.
  • Fluent English. Knowledge of Czech, German, or French is an asset.
  • Proficient in coordinating funding proposals, managing reporting, and handling multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of successful EU grant applications exceeding €500,000 in awarded funds.
  • Experience in international consortium management.
  • Familiarity with circular economy, gasification, or waste-to-energy projects.
  • Understanding of Grant Agreement templates, EU reporting formats, and audit requirements.
