Twende is an early-stage startup that is revolutionizing everyday mass transit by connecting commuters with direct, affordable, and reliable transportation options. We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to help us design and build the first version of our platform. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the founding team to shape and refine our product roadmap and contribute to building the culture of Twende.

## Tasks

*   Design and build from scratch the first version of Twende's transportation platform;
*   Write maintainable and testable clean code without over-engineering;
*   Work closely with the founding team to shape and refine the product roadmap;
*   Willing to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty as needed;
*   Contribute to building the culture of Twende;

## Requirements

*   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
*   Proficiency in at least one frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue) and one backend language (Python, Java, Node.js)
*   Familiarity with database design and optimization (SQL and/or NoSQL)
*   Experience with version control systems (Git)
*   Passion for delivering high-quality software products
*   Understanding of software development principles such as SOLID, TDD, and agile methodologies
*   Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
*   Strong communication and collaboration skills
*   You can work remotely from anywhere (between UTC -1 and +5) with reliable internet access.

Preferred Qualifications:

*   Familiarity with GCP or other cloud providers
*   Experience with mobile app development (iOS and/or Android)
*   Understanding of UX/UI design principles
*   Interest or Experience in emerging markets
