Our client, an established technology and software development company based in Malta, is looking for a QA Tester to join its growing product development team.

Working closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.
Tasks
- Execute manual testing of web and software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
- Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to investigate, reproduce, and resolve reported issues.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing when required.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure defects have been resolved before release.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and documentation.
- Support release validation to ensure software meets quality standards before deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Software QA or Testing role.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and software test execution.
- Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test documentation.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
- Basic understanding of the .NET Framework and software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and QA principles.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an Agile team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
