Our Internal Systems pillar is at the forefront of transforming how we harness data to drive innovation and growth. This dynamic pillar focuses on four core areas: building a robust Data Platform to democratize data access, leveraging insights to revolutionize Digital Marketing, enabling AI-driven innovation through a cutting-edge Machine Learning Platform, and fostering a culture of experimentation with advanced A/B Testing tools. 

We are looking for an intermediate level Data Engineer to join the team. If you're passionate about creating data-driven solutions that empower teams and enhance customer experiences, we’d love to have you on board! 

This role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance (generally within 2–3 hours) of one of our office hubs in Lisbon. We embrace flexibility in where and how work gets done and also value meaningful in-person moments to connect and collaborate. You can expect a remote-first working model with periodic in-person gatherings at your closest office for team connection, planning, or other key moments.

__What you'll do:__

* Implement modern data pipelines for a huge variety of data - from smaller scale B2B data, to terabytes of clickstream traffic.
* Monitor data pipelines for accuracy, missing data, enhancements, changes, SLA, and billing volumes to ensure all data is captured and processed accurately and when needed.
* Work with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and documenting requirements for building high quality and impactful data products.
* Reconcile data issues and alerts between various systems, finding opportunities to innovate and drive improvements.
* Code, test, and document new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for reporting and data analytics.
* Contribute to designing optimised data solutions and data products.
* Own and document data pipelines, monitoring, data accuracy, SLAs and data lineage.

__What you'll need:__

* Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
* 3+ years of Data Engineering experience focused on Data Modelling and developing modern data pipelines and applications for reporting and analytics.
* Strong Python, Java or Scala Experience.
* Strong experience in SQL; can write complex, performant, fail-safe queries.
* Experienced with setting up end to end data pipelines in an enterprise environment.
* Hands-on experience with cloud computing technology like Google Cloud, AWS etc.
* Exposure to Apache Airflow or other data orchestration frameworks.
