We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Robotic Software Engineer to lead and own the software architecture at TINAMU, spanning onboard systems, mobile applications, and server-side infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the TINAMU onboard software architecture running on a single board computer on the drones.
• Oversee the design and development of the TINAMU mobile app and server software architecture, ensuring seamless integration.
• Develop and optimize software for embedded systems e.g. Raspberry Pi or other onboard computing platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure software compatibility with robotic platforms.
• Ensure robust system performance in dynamic and challenging environments.
• Develop scalable and modular software solutions for deployment across multiple platforms.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, hardware engineers, and data scientists.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in robotic software development or similar roles.
• Experienced team leader in software teams.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and embedded hardware (e.g., Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson).
• Expertise in robotic systems, with a strong preference for drones.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and ROS / ROS2.
• Proven experience designing and implementing software architectures for robotic platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-server interaction and mobile app integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
