Backend Software Developer (f/m/d) - Athens, Greece

As a Backend Software Developer at Homelike you will be responsible for building our product landscape behind the scenes while being part of our cross functional tech team! The position is based in Athens, Greece. We will soon be opening an office hub in Athens, where you have the chance to interact and exchange with peers in an office environment next to remote work options.

How you are part of our success story:

• You write code and tests, build prototypes, solve issues and analyze bottlenecks on the entire backend
• You are responsible to implement new features in our microservice infrastructure
• You build and maintain our internal and external APIs
• You optimize our product in terms of performance and scalability
• You bring in good solutions for technical and process problems so that we can improve our performance and efficiency
• You support the product owners with your technical knowledge and collaborate within our cross-functional teams
• You ensure a high quality of code
• You share your up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and provide self-service abilities to the team and therefore drive innovation in our tech company

What you need to convince us:

• You have 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role
• You know what ES6 is and have experience with Node.js
• Ideally, you already used NoSQL databases and GraphQL
• You are familiar with computer science, algorithms and web design
• You are highly goal-oriented, work extremely conscientiously and like to work in an agile environment and within cross functional teams
• You share a startup/scaleup mindset, know what it takes to build a tech company and want to understand what is necessary to provide in order to make our products and services better every day
• You got strong English communication and interpersonal skills

What would be a plus:

• Experience working with a serverless based pipelines (AWS Lambda)
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with NoSQL databases and MongoDB
