The Energy Year

The Enetgy Year

Words power industries. Yours could power the energy sector.
At The Energy Year, we turn complex global energy conversations into sharp, compelling content read by industry leaders across the world. Now we’re looking for a Digital Content Editor who can do the same.
This role is for someone who enjoys shaping ideas as much as sentences. Someone who can spot a weak paragraph from across the room, rewrite it in five minutes, and still have time to suggest a stronger headline.

Tasks

What you’ll do

Edit and refine interviews, articles, and industry insights for clarity, impact, and voice

Manage and optimize web content across our digital platforms

Collaborate with international teams producing country-focused energy reports

Turn dense industry material into engaging, readable narratives

Ensure every piece of content meets our editorial standards (and then raise the bar)

Requirements

Who you are

A sharp editor with excellent command of English

Fast-thinking, curious, and intellectually agile

Comfortable working with complex topics and simplifying them without losing depth

Someone who believes good writing is both craft and strategy

The kind of person who reads a paragraph and instantly thinks: “This could be better.”

Benefits

Why join us

Work at the intersection of journalism, global energy, and business intelligence

Collaborate with an international editorial team

Help shape content read by decision-makers across the energy industry

Be part of a company that believes strong ideas deserve strong writing

If you’re the type who can tighten a sentence, sharpen an argument, and improve a headline before the coffee gets cold, we’d like to hear from you.
