Senior Global Product Manager, Skin Actives (m/w/d)

Symrise is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Global Product Manager to lead and manage our innovative cosmetic ingredient Skin Actives range. This role encompasses business development, strategic planning, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cosmetic industry, particularly in the area of actives, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Your Main Responsibilities

Product Portfolio Management:

• Develop and implement long-term strategy and annual operational plans.
• Monitor and report sales figures, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Proactively drive cosmetic product range growth by staying abreast of market trends and conducting comprehensive market analysis through Global Market Watch, Business Intelligence, and scientific/technological monitoring
• Develop and execute communication strategies, particularly on social medias, to showcase Symrise’s expertise.

Product Development and Coordination:

• Lead projects to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
• Address day-to-day portfolio-related requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Raw Material Management, Regulatory, Product Safety, Patent, Production, Planning, Quality Control, and other departments.
• Manage technical projects at various customer sites in collaboration with sales teams and testing laboratories.
• Oversee studies to enhance the value of existing actives.

Marketing and Communication:

• Create relevant product information documents such as brochures, presentations, quick sheets, and advertisements in coordination with the marketing team.
• Conduct customer and congress presentations to promote the product range.
• Train sales team on ingredients in the current product portfolio and new actives.
• Engage in technology scouting for skin actives.

About You

The ideal candidate should hold a Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Skin Biology, with several successful years experience in marketing or business management.

Experience in the cosmetic industry, with particular expertise in actives used in personal care products.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, along with strong IT skills, particularly in MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively in multicultural teams within an international environment. Additionally, they should have a proven track record in managing multiple and complex technical projects efficiently.
