**About you**

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Head of Software Engineering to lead our software development teams and drive the technical direction of our organization. If you are a natural leader with a strong technical background and a passion for tackling challenges, we want you to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the development, maintenance, and deployment of software applications within the organization. 

The Head of Software engineering works closely with upper management to set technical direction and ensure that software projects align with business goals and objectives. In this role, you will also be responsible for designing and implementing software architectures that are scalable, maintainable and aligned with the overall business strategy. 

This role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, as the Head of Software Engineering will be responsible for growing and leading the highly skilled multi-disciplined engineering teams that are building the future of finance and interacting with stakeholders across the organization. ## Tasks

*   Oversee the development, maintenance, and deployment of software applications.
*   Set technical direction for the software engineering department, including alignment with other departments like software architecture and project management. 
*   Collaborate with upper management to align software projects with business goals and objectives.
*   Manage a team of software engineers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. 
*   Communicate with stakeholders across the organization about the technical direction and provide status updates. 
*   Mentor and develop team members to help them grow in their careers. 
*   Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for adoption as appropriate.

## Requirements

*   Strong technical background in software development, with experience in a variety of programming languages and frameworks. 
*   Demonstrated experience leading and managing software development teams. 
*   Experience designing and implementing software architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business strategy. 
*   Experience building and deploying cloud-native SaaS applications is a plus.  
*   Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
*   Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
*   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
