We’re seeking a Solutions Architect - Custody & DeFi who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization, especially blockchain that’s always pushing boundaries. Here, you will take complete, end-to-end ownership of our special projects. You will have experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back- end languages. You’ll be joining an amazing team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front- end and back- end architecture, and ultimately, deliver amazing global user experiences.

## Tasks

*   Collaborate within our team to define and architect improvements and extensions on the current security key management solution for crypto with emphasis on challenging the current underlying process and technology.
*   Lead the thought process to extend the current crypto staking services, as well as collaborate with teams to architect solutions for DeFi.
*   Providing technical analysis, best practices and software development specification to developers and other stakeholders, including application, technical and database architecture guidance.
*   Collaborate in the continuous improvement of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle, as well as improve coding guidelines and architectural principles.
*   Active involvement in reviewing merge requests, providing coding input in proof of concepts and prototyping.
*   Design, architect, and document business process, as well as liaise with developers and architectural team for the specification and implementation of the business process.
*   Liaise with security experts to provide guidance to engineering teams on enterprise security concepts.
*   Collaborate in the continuous improvement of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle.
*   Mentor and grow a community of fellow engineers.

## Requirements

*   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent area is preferred.
*   5+ years of experience in an architectural or senior development position in high-growth environments in blockchain, cryptography, or crypto fintech experience highly preferred.
*   Demonstrated successful track-record creating architectural solutions for institutional-grade custody and services.
*   Working knowledge of the Scale Agile approach and experience in architecting highly secure and performant applications with JavaScript/TypeScript.
*   Expertise to make architectural decisions, both in applications and systems infrastructure; and deep knowledge of key architectural principles found in highly scalable systems.
*   Deep understanding of core web3.js libraries, Rosetta API standards and hardware and software driven custody technologies.
*   Understanding and experience with HSMs, TEEs, key policies, approval flows and related cryptographic concepts. Familiarity with MPC-based approaches and products would be a definite plus.
*   Proficiency on architectural patterns, including event-driven architecture, zero-trust design, microservices design, and API design.
*   Hands-on experience in design and configuration of AWS and Azure cloud services and knowledge in applying infrastructure as code principles.
*   Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the ability to present engineering strategy to the C-level and large audiences.
