We are looking for a hands-on Production Technician / Assembly & Test Technician to join our production team in Zurich-Stallikon.
You will assemble, inspect, configure and test drones and base stations for our Beehive drone-in-a-box system. This role is suitable for someone with basic technical knowledge, good hands-on skills and a careful working style.
We are ready to train the right person.
Tasks
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical parts
- Build subassemblies and final drone/base-station systems
- Prepare parts, tools and workstations
- Follow drawings, assembly instructions and test procedures
- Inspect mechanical parts and electronic components
- Check screws, fasteners and parts using basic measuring tools
- Use torque tools and a multimeter according to instructions
- Configure and test electronic boards and modules
- Perform pass/fail tests and record results
- Report quality issues, repeated failures or unclear instructions
- Keep the workplace clean, organized and safe
- Support improvements to assembly and test procedures
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Basic understanding of screws, fasteners, dimensions and torque
- Ability to use a multimeter
- Basic understanding of electronics and safe handling of components
- Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Understanding of assemblies, subassemblies, parts and consumables
- Basic understanding of Quality Control
- Careful, methodical and reliable working style
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and report problems clearly
- Good computer skills for documentation and test records
- Good written and spoken English
- Valid authorization to work in Switzerland
Bonus Points
- Polymechanic EFZ, automation technician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician or similar qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in production, assembly, workshop, electronics or technical service work is helpful.
- Experience with drones, RC models, robotics or electronics projects is welcome, as well as experience with ESD-safe handling, crimping, soldering, cable assembly or connector work.
- Basic German skills are a plus.
