*CONTRACT* CHF 100/ Hour - Linux Systems Engineer

Alegra Group AG is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract within the public sector in Zürich. This hybrid role is an exciting opportunity to support and enhance critical IT infrastructure in a high-impact environment. You’ll work on both operations and engineering, with a strong focus on Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux systems.

• Manage and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu and Red Hat environments)
• Build, configure, and deploy new server infrastructure (physical and virtual)
• Ensure system availability, security, and performance in a production environment
• Perform system upgrades and patch management
• Automate operational processes using scripts and configuration management tools

• Proven experience with both Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux distributions
• Solid background in Linux system engineering and administration
• Hands-on experience in building and deploying servers (bare-metal and virtual)
• Comfortable working in both operational support and engineering/development capacities
• Familiarity with SQL Server administration and integration

• Hybrid model: 2 days per week onsite in Zürich, 3 days remote
• All tools and access provided to support effective remote work
