## Your mission:

You will be in charge of designing equipment and software used to monitor and control the electrolyzer process and system. This position is at the interface of power electronic architecture and technical design and can be based either in Munich or Frankfurt am Main.   
  
* Assist in the design and development of the electrolyzer electrical and control systems technology to make sure, the system and process operate effectively, efficiently, and safely.
* Involve in the development and implementation of software and/or firmware in the Electronics I/O Interface module(s) interfacing to the High-Power Supply and Electronics Sensors of the Hydrogen Production System for control and management via MMI platform.
* Develop and maintain the communication protocols between Electronics sensors and I/O Interface module(s) in the Hydrogen Production System as well as third-party solution provider components or any third-party data collection devices.
* Development of electrical or control and safety concepts. Identify technical challenges and risks and accordingly develop resolutions.
* Responsible for design & development, implementation (coding) & testing/debugging of system software, documentation and integration with other software if necessary.
* Follow coding practices and recommend process improvements to build efficient systems.
* Provide software QA and post-development support.
  
  
## Your profile:

* Masters / Degree in Computer Engineering, Process Engineering, and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.
* Experience (> 5 years) working within an electrical and control engineering role.
* Experience specifying and approving PLC and MCC electrical panel designs.
* C/C++ programming skills or HDL-related in the area of firmware development on embedded systems.
* Possess a good understanding of software development life cycles.
* Good knowledge of microprocessor and microcontroller architecture as well as knowledge of electronics hardware and its interfacing to software systems.
* Experience in implementing and testing serial communication protocols (e.g., automotive CAN TCP/IP or LIN).
  
This is a Plus:  
  
* Safety systems including safety relays and safety PLCs (and/or FS Eng. Qualification).
* Cable specification and design in accordance with BS 7671/IEC 60364.
* Experience with electrical CAD packages.
* Experience with hazardous area design and equipment selection – in accordance with ATEX standards (60079).
* Experience in the process sector with typical industrial instrumentation.
  
General Must Have:  
  
* Knowledge of networking, information security and standards is an added advantage.
* Must be resourceful, independent, and have good interpersonal and good time management skills.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Professional and ethical behaviour.
* Enjoy traveling (including abroad) and willing to travel on business as well as to construction sites.
